This AIP SUP supplements the following portion of the AIP: GEN 3.5.
Possible changes to AIP SUP shall be published by NOTAM.
EETU: 22 JUL 2024 11:00 UTC to UFN.
EEKE: 23 JUL 2024 11:00 UTC to UFN.
The notifications mentioned in para GEN 3.5.3 and GEN 3.5.3.1 of this AIP SUP will come into effect on the aforementioned dates.
This AIP SUP includes changes related to the updating of airport weather observation systems at Tartu and Kuressaare Airports. As a result, local regular and special weather reports (MET REPORT AUTO / SPECIAL AUTO) will be issued at these airports.
During the opening hours of the meteorological unit, METAR/SPECI reports will be transmitted by a meteorological unit employee. When meteorological unit is closed, METAR AUTO and SPECI AUTO reports will be provided.
Local routine and local special weather reports (MET REPORT AUTO / SPECIAL AUTO) will be issued automatically by AWOS AviMet system H24. Reports are available at AWOS monitors.
In Tartu airport's automatic information service (ATIS) broadcast local routine and special reports are available. The wind direction is presented in ATIS broadcast as true degrees.
The air traffic service worker of the respective airport provides the wind direction for landing and takeoff and, if necessary, the QFE value for EETU and EEKE airports.

MET REPORT AUTO and SPECIAL AUTO reports are compiled in accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation 2017/373 point MET.TR.200 and the measurement of meteorological elements is conducted according to point MET.TR.210.
MET REPORT AUTO and SPECIAL AUTO reports are generated automatically by the AWOS AviMet system and displayed on meteo and ATS units screens.
MET REPORT AUTO and SPECIAL AUTO reports are produced without human intervention and are issued automatically H24.
MET REPORT AUTO and SPECIAL AUTO are distributed only at local aerodromes and reports are available:
Local special reports (SPECIAL AUTO) are made between routine observations whenever significant deteriorations or improvements of weather conditions in accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/373 change or pass through the established values.
In SPECIAL AUTO reports, the following exceptions apply:
